UP Pride 2024: Ensuring Human Rights for All
On Friday, June 28th, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Phongbangpho, the President of the University of Phayao, assigned Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape, to preside over the opening ceremony of UP Pride 2024: Human Rights for All. This project, organized by the Amnesty Club, aims to promote understanding and social acceptance of gender rights and diversity. The event took place at the multi-purpose activity area (PKY) in front of the Comprehensive Teaching Building at the University of Phayao. The project also included an associate activity on the topic "Human Rights for ALL, Human Rights for US (LGBTQIA+)" led by professors from the School of Political and Social Sciences, the School of Law, and representatives from the School of Business Administration and Communication Arts. The president of the Amnesty UP Club also participated in organizing art and Pride photography exhibitions, along with other activities.

Additionally, a Pride Parade was organized, starting from the Kang Kwang area in front of the president's office building and ending at the designated event area. This project is supported by the Student Association of the School of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Phayao and its network.
