
On March 31st, 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted an audience to representatives from the University of Phayao at Dusidalai Hall, Chitralada Royal Villa. The purpose of the occasion was to offer well-wishes in honor of Her Royal Highness's upcoming birthday on April 2nd, 2025.
The delegation from the University of Phayao was led by Special Professor Atthaphon Yaisawang, President of the University Council, along with Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University, members of the University Council, and the university’s executive team. They expressed their deep gratitude for the opportunity to extend their best wishes to Her Royal Highness.
As part of the tribute, the University of Phayao also presented a financial donation for royal charitable purposes at Her Royal Highness’s discretion. Additionally, they offered handcrafted products from university research projects, including natural-dyed, cotton fabric handwoven featuring the "Dok Kham Mok Luang" pattern, crafted by members of the Tai Lue weaving group from Ban Thung Mok, Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province. Another special offering was a handcrafted water hyacinth bag from the "Linchawa" project, designed with a unique flowing water pattern that is a signature of the Tai Lue ethnic heritage. This bag was produced by the Rabiang Kwan Phayao Community in Mueang District, Phayao Province.
