On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the School of Political and Social Science, University of Phayao, organized a welcoming event for new students of the 2025 academic year through two key programs:

• "Happiness to SPSS Team" (Freshman Welcome) held at Phu Kham Yao Room 3, and
• New Student Orientation Program, held at the parking area beside the Phu Kham Yao canteen and general education building.

Both activities were designed to help new students prepare for academic life, adapt to university culture, and engage with the social environment of the School.

Associate Professor Dr. Montra Pongnil, Dean of the School, presided over the opening ceremony, accompanied by the School’s executive team, faculty members, and support staff, who warmly welcomed the new cohort.

The Orientation Program introduced students to the curriculum, academic structure, and campus life while fostering an understanding of the School’s identity and culture through creative and inspiring activities that marked the beginning of their academic journey.

Meanwhile, the "Happiness to SPSS Team" event, themed “Muan Ok Muan Jai: A Joyful Welcome for Class of 2025”, emphasized relationship-building between seniors and freshmen through engaging activities such as:

• Ice-breaking games and recreational activities
• “Rattapat Innovators in Training” activity stations designed to develop teamwork skills
• A “Bai Sri Su Kwan” blessing ceremony, symbolizing warmth, community, and meaningful cultural connection

Throughout the day, the atmosphere vividly embodied the School’s core vision: “A Place to Live, Learn, and Enjoy”, while nurturing the identity of students as “Public Innovators for the Community.”

The two events attracted over 390 participants, reflecting the strong energy, collaboration, and commitment of the School of Political and Social Science, University of Phayao, in laying a solid foundation for holistic student development—academically, socially, and personally.
