The School of Science at the University of Phayao is hosting a "Social Return on Investment (SROI) Workshop" from May 25 to 27, 2025. This specialized workshop emphasizes hands-on learning, utilizing the School of Science's area-based research sites, "Mae Kana Rai Dieo" and "Ban So Community," as primary case studies for SROI assessment.
School members from diverse disciplines within the School of Science, including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology, are actively participating in this training. Their involvement aims to prepare and develop their capabilities to form a dedicated SROI assessment team for the Scientific Excellence and Academic Learning Service Center (SEAL).
The workshop is privileged to host distinguished lecturers from Chiang Mai University, namely Dr. Tossapond Kewprasopasak from the Faculty of Economics and Assistant Professor Dr. Vet. Terdsak Yano from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, who are providing expert knowledge and close guidance.
This SROI workshop will significantly enhance the SROI assessment team's understanding and ability to apply the principles of social return assessment effectively. This is particularly crucial for measuring the social impact of various development projects, fostering sustainable development, and creating genuine value for communities.
