On April 18, 2026, the University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, extended a warm welcome to the executive delegation from the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) and participated in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the University of Phayao and OBEC. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Raksit Suttipong, the Dean of the School of Education, presented the objectives of the MOU. The event was further honored by Ms. Pattarawan Pattarabovorwut, Deputy Secretary-General of OBEC, who outlined the collaborative implementation framework under the agreement. She was joined by the Director of the Bureau of Special Education Administration and the Director of the Group for the Promotion of Educational Management in Special Education and Inclusive Education Centers. The ceremony was also attended by faculty members from the Educational Administration Program at the College of Management. The MOU signing ceremony was held at Meeting Room L806, the College of Management, University of Phayao, Wave Place Building, 8th Floor, Wireless Road, Lumphini Subdistrict, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aims to enhance the professional competencies of school administrators, teachers, and educational personnel. It also seeks to promote the development of research and innovation in education among these groups, as well as to provide systematic consultation for improving the quality of educational institutions that implement inclusive education and special education centers. This collaboration is aligned with the direction and policy of the Ministry of Education regarding the development of special education.
