On October 21, 2025, the University of Phayao (UP) held the opening ceremony for the "National Dental Public Health Day" at the Dental Hospital, School of Dentistry, to celebrate the “125th anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Srinagarindra's birth”. The ceremony was presided over by Wuthichai Chairinkam, Ph.D., Vice President for Student Quality at UP.
The event, organized by the School of Dentistry, aimed to honor the invaluable contributions of H.R.H. Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother, also known as the “Mother of Thai Dentistry,” for her lifelong dedication to improving healthcare and dental public health in Thailand.
Activities included free dental services for the public—such as oral examinations, scaling, fillings, extractions, and minor surgeries—as well as oral health promotion for the elderly and village health volunteers (VHV) from Mae Ka Subdistrict, Phayao Province. More than 270 participants took part in the event.
The project exemplifies the University of Phayao's dedication to enhancing community health and upholding H.R.H. Princess Srinagarindra's noble vision of enhancing people's quality of life through improved oral health.
