On 12 September 2025, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttanon Pongpanit, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Industrial Collaboration Development, together with the Student Union, student clubs, and School members, participated in the 5th UP Identity Festival: U-Volunteer for Sustainable Development. The event was organized by the Division of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Division of Student Development and Disability Services at Phaya Ngam Muang Auditorium, University of Phayao.

At the festival, the School of Engineering was awarded Runner-up for its project “Hom Haeng Asa Hom Poi Phatthana”, under the leadership of Dr. Khwansirinapa Thanawong, project supervisor. This achievement highlights the capability, creativity, and commitment of engineering students in undertaking volunteer activities that contribute to sustainable social development. Additionally, the School received an Institutional Award in the category “The School with the Lowest Rate of Self-Harm”, a significant indicator reflecting the School’s dedication to student well-being and holistic development.

These accomplishments demonstrate the strong collaboration between administrators, School members, and students of the School of Engineering in fostering academic excellence, volunteerism, and quality of life. Furthermore, they reinforce the University of Phayao’s identity of nurturing graduates who embody both professional competence and social responsibility.
