
School of Public Health, University of Phayao, Conducts Community Health Screening for the Elderly in Mae Sai village, Phayao, Thailand
The School of Public Health, University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Dr. Somkid Juwha, Dean, along with Associate Professor Dr. Anukul Manoton, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Organizational Development, lectures representatives, and students, organized a community outreach program to conduct health screenings for the elderly in Mae Sai village, Mueang District, Phayao Province.
The community health screening activities took place on March 21 and 23, 2025, from 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM. A team of lecturers and students visite 12 villages within the subdistrict, providing health assessments for a total of 600 elderly residents. This initiative was part of the first phase of the project “Healthy Aging for Longevity: Promoting Well-being Among the Elderly in Mae Sai village.”
The project’s primary objective is to promote health awareness and enhance the quality of life for senior citizens in the region. The lecturer representatives and students conducted comprehensive health screenings and provided tailored health recommendations to encourage sustainable and healthy living among the elderly population.
