UP Signs MOU with 13 Japanese Entrepreneurs in order to improve the quality of its graduates.
On January 16th and 17th, 2025, the University of Phayao, represented by its President, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangphogpho, and other university officials including Vice President for Academic Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Chonthida Thephinlap, Vice President for Environment and Landscape Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts Assistant Professor Dr. Chittima Kaweera, and Assistant to the President and executives Mr. Nattawut Somyaone, participated in a signing ceremony for an academic and cooperative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the University of Phayao and RNC Headquarters and Kandatsu Snow Ski Resort. The ceremony took place at the Shinsan Building in Shimbashi, Tokyo and Yuzawa City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with 13 prominent Japanese companies, represented by Mr. Kenji Tokunaka. This partnership aims to promote cooperative education and work-integrated learning, which are crucial processes in developing high-quality graduates. Additionally, it fosters international academic collaboration between the university and the industrial sector.
This collaboration reflects the University of Phayao’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its graduates to meet the demands of the international labor market. Beyond enriching students' professional experiences, the partnership strengthens networks between academic institutions and businesses for future collaboration.
In addition, the university’s executive team engaged in discussions on corporate environmental management, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality. This initiative marks another significant step toward sustainability in the university's development.
