The University of Phayao recently held a kickoff activity at the community pharmacy practice, located at the School of Pharmacy, to raise awareness about common illnesses and their treatment.
On July 9th, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpho, President of the University of Phayao, presided over the kickoff activity for the service system for caring for common illnesses in pharmacies. He was joined by the Vice President for University Communications, the Vice President for Environment and Landscape, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, and other administrators of the University of Phayao at the Community Pharmacy Practice Station, School of Pharmacy, in the 99th Anniversary Building, Phra Upali Kunupamajarn. The Community Pharmacy Practice Station Manager, Pharmacist Khemmanat Rattanaworawong, reported on the objectives of this activity and introduced the process of providing care services for common illnesses in drugstores.
In this context, the Community Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy has been officially registered as a high-quality drugstore by the Pharmacy Council and has also become a part of the “New Type of Pharmacy (Common Illnesses)” project. This project is a joint effort with the National Health Security Office (NHSO) to provide care for 16 common illnesses. The main goal is to offer services to both students at the University of Phayao and the general public who use gold patents, as well as to raise awareness about the project among the target audience. To achieve this, we have organized a kickoff event to introduce the pharmacy's common illnesses care system.
