School of Political and Social Sciences, was evaluated for its educational quality based on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx)

      On the 19th and 20th of September 2023, the School of Political and Social Sciences (SPSS), the University of Phayao facilitated the EdPEx assessment for the 2022 academic year. In this regard, Assistant Professor Thanyapat Mungpattanasunthon, Deputy Dean for Administration and Development Strategy and the project Chairman, Ms. Kanchaya Koknoi, Acting Head of the Secretariat of the project, as well as the faculty board, academic and administrative staff, including student representatives, participated in this project at the SPSS conference room.  

       The Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEX) for the 2022 academic year was organised to enable the SPSS to be evaluated for their performance against EdPEx’s standards. It also aimed to provide the faculty board and staff with knowledge and understanding of the criteria as well as the development of quality assurance work on the EdPEx following the university’s strategy of fostering a modern, efficient, transparent, and exemplary governance system.     

     The evaluation process was honored by Assistant Professor Tawanchai Phoehom, Lecturer from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University (Chairman), Associate Professor Jantanee Bejrananda, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, the University of Phayao (Director), Assistant Professor Dr. Sontaya Sookying, Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Care, Faculty of Pharmacy, the University of Phayao (Director), Dr. Phatpitta Srisomphong from the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Arts, the University of Phayao (Observer), and Athikom Boonsue from the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Phayao (Observer). 

       Recognizing the EdPEx’s importance, not only does the SPSS prompt to enhance the management and educational quality to create a livable, conducive for studying, and engaging environment for students but also continues to nurture social innovators for communities in line with the school’s vision.
