University of Phayao Launches ‘BMI Challenge Show & Share 2023’ Activity for Encouraging Good Health and Well – Being of University’s Personnel

On September 20th, 2023, University of Phayao launched the Good Health and Well Being activity for university personnel under the theme of ‘BMI Challenge Show & Share 2023’. Open for all ages, the project targets and encourages university personnel to meet the standards of SDG goal number 3 and is conducted as institutional research for promoting good health and well-being. University personnel joined together for improving their body mass index and health. This activity included different participating departments with 33 units involved totally more than 1,800 participants.

 

Associate Professor Dr.Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, chaired the opening ceremony and actively participated in the project. This improving your health event included the following health related activities:

Personnel from different departments cooperated in 2 sports including:

1) Yoga (led by personnel from School of Science)

2) Aerobic Dancing (led by students of Sports Science and Exercise, School of Science)


        Well-deserved ‘SAFA Good Health and Well-Being Awards’ were presented to participating departments and outstanding participants by the School of Architecture and School of Fine Arts. Results included both department and individual winners. The department winners were:


 First Prize Group:  Category of Body Mass Index (BMI) improvement, Most Slender

 First Place Winner:  School of Allied Health Science

Second Place Winner:  School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Third Place Winner:  School of Public Health

 

Second Prize Group: Category of Percentage of BMI improvement, Most Slender

First Place Winner:  School of Education

Second Place Winner:  School of Energy and Environment

Third Place Winner:  Internal Audit Section


First Prize Group: Category of Percentage of Innovative BMI, Most Slender  

First Place Winner:  School of Public Health

Second Place Winner:  School of Information and Communication Technology

Third Place Winner: School of Allied Health Sciences

 

Second Prize Group:  Category of Percentage of Innovative BMI, Most Slender

First Place Winner:  School of Education

Second Place Winner:  Division of Student Quality Development and Students with Disabilities

Third Place Winner: School of Energy and Environment

 

First Prize Group:  Category of Percentage of Participation (attendance)   

First Place Winner:  School of Public Health

Second Place Winner:  School of Agriculture and Nature Resources

Third Place Winner:  School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

 

Second Prize Group:  Category of Percentage of Participation (attendance)  

First Place Winner: Division of Student Quality Development and Students with Disabilities

         Second Place Winner: Center for Information Technology and Communication Services

         Third Place Winner:  Division of Personnel

First Place Winner: Mr.Naruebworn Piromphlat:  Division of Personnel

Second Place Winner: Mr.Thanarin Kongthuean:  School of Political and Social Sciences

Third Place Winner: Mr.Natthanai Chaidu: School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

 

Third Prize Group:  Category of Person with Best BMI Improvement   

First Place Winner: Mr.Apinan Thabphueng: School of Law

Second Place Winner: Assistant Professor Teerut Muenwongthep: School of Business and Communication Arts

         Third Place Winner: Assistant Professor Thanaporn Bunmee:  School of Agriculture and Nature Resources
