Assist. Prof. Dr. Prakobsiri Pakdeepinit, dean of the School of Business and Communication Arts, gave a welcoming remark at the orientation program for the new intakes of the 2023 academic year on 19 May 2023 at the University of Phayao. The orientation program aims to provide new students with knowledge and understanding of university life. The new students were also encouraged to participate in student activities, which should benefit them in adjusting to university life. The school aims to produce graduates who are good members of society, have expertise in various fields, possess physical, intellectual, and emotional maturity, and can choose a career appropriately. The students were introduced to lecturers from eight academic programs and academic staff from the school. Other topics discussed during the orientation were relevant information such as student welfare, scholarships, various activities, and the dress code. The university allows the students to dress with their identified gender, reflecting the policy to support gender equality. The orientation program has about 350 – 400 students participating.
