School of Education Conducts Community Engagement and Community Learning Resources Development Project in Dok Khamtai District, Phayao Province
On June 10, 2026, the School of Education, University of Phayao, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Kasidit Meeprom, the Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Area-Based Academic Services, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Wilaiporn Wichayawat, the Chair of the Bachelor of Education Program in Elementary Education; Assistant Professor Dr. Wasan Sanpasuk, the Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction; Mr. Wittawat Thiwai, Head of Planning; Ms. Chutimdee Chaibao, Educational Academic Officer; and Mr. Nithinan Saenphrom, Educational Academic Officer, conducted the Community Engagement and Community Learning Resources Development Project for Dok Khamtai District, Phayao Province, at VC Hotel, Phayao Province.


The project featured a lecture and group activities on “Competency-Based Local Curriculum Innovation,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wilaiporn Wichayawat. Participants also engaged in a hands-on workshop on the Development of a Competency-Based Local Curriculum for Dok Khamtai Subdistrict, Dok Khamtai District, Phayao Province, including the preparation of curriculum support documents. The workshop was facilitated by Assistant Professor Dr. Wasan Sanpasuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Kasidit Meeprom, and the project implementation team.


The project aimed to strengthen collaborative relationships between the University of Phayao and educational institutions within the local community, while promoting greater access to and effective utilization of community learning resources. It also sought to support learning activities and academic services that enhance area-based learning and lifelong learning skills among students, educators, and community members. Through active participation and collaboration among educational institutions, local organizations, and community stakeholders, the initiative contributes to sustainable community development and the creation of meaningful learning opportunities that reflect local contexts and needs. This initiative demonstrates the School of Education’s commitment to community engagement, educational innovation, and lifelong learning. Furthermore, it supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting equitable educational opportunities, strengthening collaborative networks, and fostering sustainable community development.
