The School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, extends its congratulations to Mr. Warinthorn Kornwech, a student in the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Digital Marketing, School of Business and Communication Arts, on receiving the Sattaphan Award in Innovation and Inventions, as part of the University of Phayao 2026 Honorary Awards, for the innovation “Mitrava.” The award recognizes his outstanding achievement resulting from the integration of knowledge and collaborative efforts among students from different disciplines.
The University of Phayao Honorary Awards are presented through a selection process recognizing students with outstanding achievements and capabilities in various areas. The awards cover six categories: Management and Administration Skills; Conduct, Morality and Ethics; Arts, Culture and Local Wisdom; Academic and Life Skills; Volunteerism; and Innovation and Inventions.
The award-winning innovation, “Mitrava,” is a fast-disintegrating tablet for nicotine dependence treatment. The innovation involves a fast-disintegrating tablet designed to support smoking cessation and the treatment of nicotine dependence, incorporating a targeted mechanism of action for nicotine dependence treatment.
The innovation was developed by Team QuitX, a collaborative team comprising students from the School of Business and Communication Arts and the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Phayao. The team consists of Mr. Warinthorn Kornwech, a student in Digital Marketing, School of Business and Communication Arts, and Ms. Bussakorn Liksitthiphan, Mr. Rapee Thongthup, and Mr. Paphawin Chiwarat, students in Pharmaceutical Care, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The Mitrava project demonstrates the integration of knowledge from digital marketing and pharmaceutical sciences to develop an innovation related to nicotine dependence treatment. The collaborative approach brings together knowledge and skills from different academic disciplines in the development of the project.
Receiving the University of Phayao 2026 Honorary Award reflects the development of students’ potential through learning, teamwork, and interdisciplinary knowledge integration. The Mitrava innovation also demonstrates an approach to encouraging students to apply the knowledge and skills gained through their studies to develop meaningful innovations and present their work on various platforms.
