The Bachelor of Accountancy Program, School of Business Administration and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, led by Dr. Jumpot Sanitthangkun, Program Chair, together with faculty members from the program, participated in a research study visit and academic knowledge exchange at the Research and Development Office, Prince of Songkla University. On this occasion, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Mattanachai Suttipun, Deputy Director for Humanities and Social Sciences at the Research and Development Office, who also joined the academic exchange activities.
During the visit, Associate Professor Dr. Mattanachai Suttipun delivered a special lecture entitled “Sustainability Research in Accounting and Publishing in International Academic Journals.” The session aimed to share knowledge, experiences, and perspectives on developing accounting research aligned with contemporary social and economic contexts, as well as global sustainable development directions. In addition, practical guidance was provided on enhancing research quality and preparing academic work for publication in international scholarly journals.
The activity also provided valuable opportunities for faculty members and staff to exchange experiences in research development, academic networking, researcher capacity building, and approaches to integrating accounting knowledge with sustainability and social responsibility issues. The atmosphere of the exchange was constructive, collaborative, and conducive to strengthening future academic cooperation between the two institutions.
This initiative represents another important step in strengthening academic collaboration between the University of Phayao and Prince of Songkla University. It reflects the significant role of higher education institutions in advancing research knowledge, enhancing academic capacity, and generating knowledge that contributes to sustainable social and economic development.
Furthermore, the activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education through research capacity development and lifelong learning; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through the advancement of academic research and innovation; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the strengthening of collaborative academic networks among higher education institutions to promote sustainable knowledge and research development.
