School of Liberal Arts Joins UP CSV Year 8 in Royal Initiative Development Project
and Celebrates the 16th Anniversary of the University of Phayao
On 17 March 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, assigned Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraputon, Vice President for Organizational Communication, together with the University’s executive team, to carry out the “UP Creating Shared Value (UP CSV)” project at the Border Patrol Police Learning Center (Ban Huai Pum), Romyen Subdistrict, Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Police Senior Sergeant Major Amnart Srisombat, Head Teacher of the Learning Center, along with teachers and students.
On this occasion, the School of Liberal Arts, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, together with Dr. Chanapa Duangfai, Associate Dean for Special Affairs, presented the progress report on the English language development project for primary school students. This initiative is based on research supported by the Research Administration Division, University of Phayao, and includes the development of learning materials aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project is conducted under a research framework on integrated linguistics-based language learning (Re-inventing University), as part of the Higher Education Excellence Development and Advanced Workforce Development Program, aiming to enhance educational opportunities and strengthen language learning capacities for youth in remote areas.
The UP CSV project in 2026 marks its 8th year of implementation, alongside the celebration of the 16th anniversary of the University of Phayao. The University continues to uphold its role as a “University for the Community,” committed to creating shared value and sustainable development for society.
