Faculty members of the Medical Technology Program, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao, conducted internship supervision and follow-up visits for Medical Technology students during the period 22 December 2025 to 9 January 2026. The supervision was carried out at 11 affiliated training hospitals in Northern Thailand, namely Phayao Hospital, Chiang Rai Prachanukroh Hospital, Mae Fah Luang University Medical Center Hospital, Nan Hospital, Phrae Hospital, Lampang Hospital, Lamphun Hospital, Nakhonping Hospital, Sukhothai Hospital, Kamphaeng Phet Hospital, and Somdej Phra Chao Taksin Maharaj Hospital.
This activity forms an integral component of the Medical Technology Professional Practice Course, which is designed to enhance students’ professional competencies and ensure alignment with real-world clinical laboratory standards within hospital settings. The internship experience serves as a crucial platform for preparing students for professional practice within the healthcare system.
The objectives of the supervision visits were to systematically monitor, evaluate, and support student learning outcomes, as well as to facilitate the exchange of feedback and professional insights among faculty members, clinical supervisors, and hospital personnel. This collaborative process contributes to the continuous improvement of practical training management, ensuring compliance with professional standards and responsiveness to the evolving needs of healthcare services.
On this occasion, faculty members provided academic guidance and emphasized professional ethics to the interns, while also actively listening to recommendations and perspectives from the training institutions. The insights gained will be utilized to further develop the curriculum and refine learning experiences, ensuring they remain contemporary, appropriate, and closely aligned with actual practices in medical laboratory operations.
The successful implementation of this internship supervision reflects the strong commitment of the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao, to advancing the quality of Medical Technology graduates.
