School of Education conducted scouting activities (Boy Scouts/Girl Guides) and health promotion activities in schools
    
On August 31, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Sunthon Khlai-Um, the Associate Dean for Administration and Student Quality Development, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Natthawut Subphaso, Assistant Dean, and supporting staff, conducted scouting activities (Boy Scouts/Girl Guides) and health promotion activities in schools under the project “Teacher Development Activities” as part of the Bachelor of Education curriculum, at UB001 meeting room, 99th Phraupali Building, the University of Phayao. It was honored by Mr. Kritsada Yarin, Scout Leader at Municipal School 1 (Phayao Prachanukul), who served as a guest lecturer on the topics “Guidelines for Scout Leader Training for Students of the College of Education, University of Phayao” and “General Knowledge for Scout Leaders.” This project was organized with the objective of enabling second-year students of the College of Education to develop leadership and followership skills, cultivate desirable qualities according to the Teachers’ Council of Thailand standards, and gain knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the importance of being a Scout Leader. Furthermore, students were expected to apply scouting knowledge to conduct teaching activities and enhance student development effectively, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4: Promote inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities (Quality Education), SDG 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable institutions (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17: Strengthen partnerships for sustainable development (Partnerships for the Goals).
