Satit UP Students Win Gold Medal at Southern Inventor Award 2025

Students from Demonstration School of the University of Phayao (Satit UP) proudly won the Gold Medal at the Southern Inventor Award 2025 with their innovative project “Lung Cancer Screening Using a Novel Algorithm Applied with Machine Learning.”

The competition was organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) in collaboration with Thaksin University under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, serving as a platform for students, undergraduates, and researchers to showcase creativity and research-based innovations.

The award-winning project was praised for its outstanding integration of science, mathematics, and information technology, applied to address a critical public health issue. Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among Thai people, and this innovation reflects the students’ commitment to using technology for the benefit of society.
