On Friday, August 8, 2025, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized a workshop on “Accreditation of Engineering Education Programs by the Thailand Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (TABEE)” TABEE is a national system for evaluating and accrediting engineering programs in Thailand, supervised by the Council of Engineers (COE). It aims to elevate the quality of engineering education and strengthen confidence in Thai engineering graduates, ensuring they are well-prepared and internationally recognized at EN1104 Conference Room, School of Engineering. The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, Dean of the School of Engineering, and attended by faculty members.

   The workshop featured a special lecture delivered by Assoc. Prof. Smith Songpiriyakij,Ph. D. Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. He shared insights on “Preparing for the Accreditation of Engineering Education Programs (TABEE)” and exchanged knowledge and experiences from engineering programs that have successfully achieved accreditation.

   The primary objective of this workshop was to strengthen the understanding of the TABEE accreditation process and to prepare engineering programs for accreditation. This initiative plays a vital role in elevating the quality of education, fostering academic excellence, and producing graduates equipped with the skills and competencies to meet the evolving needs of society and industry.
