On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Morning section, Dr. Poramate Sittisanti and Lecturer Pimsiri Suwannapat, academic advisors for 4th-year undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Science Program in Energy and Environmental Management, School of Energy and Environment (SEEN), University of Phayao (UP), led students on a field study visit to Sahacogen Green Co., Ltd. The visit focused on biomass energy production and efficient environmental management systems. Students toured the biomass power plant, which utilizes agricultural biomass residues, gaining insights into environmentally friendly alternative energy processes. These included electricity generation from biomass, water use management in the production process, air and noise pollution control, and the overall environmental management of the facility. The visit served to integrate theoretical knowledge from coursework with real-world industrial practices.

In the afternoon, the group continued their study tour at the Nakornping Energy Research and Development Institute, Chiang Mai University. There, students experienced firsthand how knowledge in energy and environmental management is applied in real-world contexts. They learned about the development and promotion of waste separation practices, the use of biogas as a renewable energy source, and approaches to developing prototypes for biomass energy utilization. The visit also explored strategies for managing biomass toward achieving carbon neutrality within academic institutions.
