The visit aimed to assess the facilities and equipment in preparation for establishing a National Skill Standard Testing Center in the field of Mechanical and Production Engineering—specifically for Level 1 Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Mechanical Drafting Technicians. The assessment took place at the Computer Laboratory (Room EN 1301), School of Engineering, University of Phayao.
Assistant Professor Dr. Erawin Thavorn, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services, along with the RACE working team, engaged in a constructive discussion with the visiting delegation, focusing on the adequacy of the venue, personnel, and testing equipment. The goal is to ensure the center’s capability to operate effectively and meet the expectations of test participants. The establishment of this National Skill Standard Testing Center will play a crucial role in evaluating and certifying the professional competencies of workers in various disciplines, thereby enhancing labor quality and potential within the region. This initiative is aligned with the School of Engineering’s vision: “To be a leading engineering learning center for industry and community”
