The Academic Affairs Division, School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao has initiated the development of English-language Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) for two pilot programs, in preparation for internal quality assurance evaluations aligned with the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) framework.
This hands-on workshop not only marks a critical step in preparing for the upcoming internal assessments but also serves as a model for future program development under the AUN-QA framework within the School of Liberal Arts. It underscores the school’s ongoing commitment to enhancing educational quality and aligning with international academic standards.
Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Khomkrich Tachom, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Benjaporn Thepseenu, Assistant Dean, the initiative involved collaboration with academic support staff to strengthen the school’s internal quality assurance system at the program level. The team organized a practical workshop focused on preparing SARs in English, aimed at ensuring readiness for AUN-QA-aligned internal program assessments.
The initiative includes two main components:
1. Preparation of Self-Assessment Reports for Two Pilot Programs: Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in English
2. Capacity Building for Program-Level Evaluation: The programs are being prepared for assessment by evaluators who have completed Tier 2 training under the AUN-QA framework—a regional standard recognized across ASEAN.
