SEEN organize a Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony, following Lan-na traditions.

On April 23, 2025, the School of Energy and Environment (SEEN), University of Phayao (UP) organized a traditional Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony (a Lanna-style water blessing ritual) to pay respect to senior executives and SEEN members on the occasion of the Songkran Festival 2025. The event was attended by the Dean, Associate Deans, members, staff, and students. The ceremony was conducted in a simple and respectful manner, following Lan-na traditions, with participants gathering to express apologies, receive blessings, and enjoy lunch together.

In the afternoon, the UP’s executives, UP members, and staff joined another Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony to pay their respects to the President of the UP and other senior figures. The purpose of the ceremony was to show reverence, ask for forgiveness for any past misdeeds, and receive blessings in return. This event reflects the continuation and preservation of Thailand’s beautiful cultural traditions.
