On December 13, 2024, Dr. Wimonrat Sitisara, a researcher, along with Mr. Weerawat Muangkhum, Mr. Paitoon Khumjan, scientists, and graduate students from the School of Energy and Environment, University of Phayao, participated in a short course training on enhancing biogas efficiency and community biogas network systems. The training took place at the Chamcha Room, Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort.
Key topics covered in the training included:
• Fundamentals of biogas production and co-digestion.
• Utilization of tools for co-digestion design.
• Feasibility studies on technology and economics.
• Decision support tools, biogas system design, and safety systems.
• Selection of biogas system types, system operation, and maintenance.
The training also showcased findings from collaborative field research conducted by researchers with expertise from renowned institutions such as Mahidol University (Assoc. Prof. Dr. TRAKARN PRAPASPONGSA), Chiang Mai University (Asst. Prof. Dr. Patiroop Pholchan), and etc. The event attracted significant interest from participants.
