School of Engineering, University of Phayao, participated in the Thailand Competition on Robotic and Automation Control using Industry 4.0 Technology 3rd, vying for the royal trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The competition was held from October 16-18, 2024, at BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center, Hall EH 101. The event featured seven categories of competition, with School of Engineering, University of Phayao, competing in four categories as follows:
• Competition Category 2: Programming for Automated Production Control Systems with Full Electrical Axis Systems. Assistant Professor Dr.Thanakarn Suangun, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Engineering program in Electrical Engineering, led the team. The student team members included Mr.Atitipong Sungthong and Mr.Sorawit Klinloy, both third-year students in Electrical Engineering.
• Competition Category 3: PLC Programming for Electric Axis Test Systems. Dr.Buntueng Yana, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Engineering program in Electrical Engineering, supervised the team. The student team included Mr.Thanachot Wongpuk and Ms.Jutatip Wannawan, both third-year students in Electrical Engineering.
• Competition Category 6: Virtual Industrial Plant Construction (using Emulate3D software). Mr.Anothai Klakankhai, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Engineering program in Industrial Engineering, led the team. The student team members included Mr.Kritipoom Sopha and Mr. Attachart Raruang, both third-year students in Industrial Engineering.
• Competition Category 7: Automated Warehouse and Logistics Construction (using Emulate3D software). Mr.Anothai Klakankhai, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Engineering program in Industrial Engineering, led the team. The student team members included Mr.Jaruwat Chanlertkhongdet and Mr.Warakorn Jaikam, both fourth-year students in Industrial Engineering.
This competition was organized to exchange policies, knowledge, and perspectives to foster educational development and learning amidst the rapidly changing global landscape, particularly for countries in the Southeast Asian region. Additionally, it served as a platform to enhance and elevate educational personnel, with Thailand acting as a central hub.
Students from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Phayao, competed in Category 7, Warehouse Construction and Automated Logistics. (Using Emulate3D software) made it to the final 8 out of 40 teams across the country. This success is a source of pride for the Faculty of Engineering. This is because students can successfully use their professional knowledge in competition.
