On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the School of Political and Social Sciences, led by Associate Professor Dr. Montra Pongnil, Dean of the School of Political and Social Sciences, along with support staff, attended the "Show & Share UP KM & R2R Show UP 2024" event at the Muang Phayao Conference Room in the Information Technology Building at the University of Phayao. Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpo, President of the University of Phayao, presided over the event.
The event served as a platform to showcase achievements in self-development research and work improvement research. It also fostered knowledge exchange, experience sharing from research implementation, and development of work improvement research for practical benefits, promoting lifelong learning. This initiative supports the university's strategic goals of becoming a Learning Organization and building networks for knowledge exchange across various university departments.
The event included exhibitions on UP KM and R2R, as well as a forum discussing the university's strategic priorities, such as: (1) developing future-ready, competent individuals and promoting lifelong learning; (2) creating research and innovations for economic, social, and community development, and publishing internationally in the fields of Science and Technology, Health Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences; (3) providing academic services and creating learning spaces to enhance social well-being, with UP Learning Space developed to support teaching and learning as a community learning and training center; (4) promoting the preservation of Thai culture and identity, with sustainable area-based development and the creation of UP Identity; and (5) advancing efficient, transparent, and well-governed management systems, including the effective implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDP).
In the afternoon, presentations were held by the recipients of research grants for the development of routine work under the 11th cohort of R2R for the fiscal year 2024. Awards for R2R presentations were presented by Vice President for Research and Innovation, Professor Dr. Samoe Thanoi. The School of Political and Social Sciences was honored as a model unit for the Individual Development Plan (IDP) for the fiscal year 2024, achieving an AA rating.
