SEEN presented the outcomes of projects in a summary meeting on the operations and the award ceremony for the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) project in Bangk

On August 13-14, 2024, the School of Energy and Environment (SEEN), University of Phayao, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saksit Imman and Dr. Wimonrat Sitisara, along with the project team, participated in a summary meeting on the operations of the Academic Center for Air Pollution Prevention and Mitigation. They also attended the award ceremony for the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) project in the Bangkok area, Phase 2.

At the same event, the SEEN presented the outcomes of two projects: "Establishing a Network of Environmentally Friendly Farmers to Prevent Dust Problems from Biomass Burning in Agricultural Areas of Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province" and "Strengthening Model Communities for Natural Resource and Environmental Management to Reduce Forest Fire Haze and Promote Well-being in the University of Phayao Network Area." The event, held at the Mandarin Hotel Managed by Centre Point in Bangkok, attracted significant interest from agencies and sectors concerned with the issue of haze pollution, which is a major cause of air pollution (PM2.5) and has ongoing health impacts in the northern region.
