On December 7, 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the Dean, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Sunthon Khlai-Um, the Associate Dean of Planning and Student Quality Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Rungtiwa Kongson, Lecturer of Curriculum and Instruction, Mr. Wittavas Thiwai, Head of Planning, Mr. Thanaphon Chuamuangphan, and Mrs.Chutimadee Chaibao, Educator conducted a workshop project on the development of lotus petals mixed with Sweet Acacia flower tea and digital marketing of a network of educational institutions and community innovators by using the design thinking process of the network of educational institutions and community innovators in Dok Khamtai District, Phayao Province. The director Songkran Boonmee, Director of Dok Khamtai Witthayakhom School, Director Krittima Manoprom, Director of Ngam Muang Witthayakhom School, Mr. Surasit Pompa, Director of the Education Division of Dok Khamtai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and 18 community innovators were the participation in the training at the Dok Khamtai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Learning Center, Phayao Province.The objectives are to promote knowledge and understanding of botanical characteristics, benefits of the Sweet Acacia Tree and the Lotus flower, and skills in designing products from Sweet Acacia flowers in various forms that are consistent with community potential. Moreover, it is also a guideline for community enterprise groups, teachers, and youth under the Dok Khamtai Subdistrict Administrative Organization that can create resources in the community to benefit academics, the economy, society, culture, and educational institutions to be more appropriate to the context.
Within the project, there are activities as follows:
1. Describe the topic “Biology characteristics and the benefits of Sweet Acacia flowers and Lotus flowers” and “Production of royal lotus petal tea mixed with Sweet Acacia flowers” by Assistant Professor Dr. Rungtiwa Kongson, Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction, School of Education.
2. Practical activity 1 “Design and use/new products of Sweet Acacia flowers in other forms” and Practical activity 2 “Design to bring Sweet Acacia products to market/academic use in various forms by Assistant Professor Dr. Rungtiwa Kongson, Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction, School of Education.
3. Propagation of Sweet Acacia flowers (grafting, planting seeds, cuttings, and soil selection) Maintenance) by Mr. Wittavas Thiwai, Head of Planning, School of Education.
