Division of Research Administration, University of Phayao Organizes Learning Space Contest 2023
On September 4th, 2023, the Division of Research Administration (DRA) at the University of Phayao, led by Professor Samur Thanoi, Ph.D. Vice President for Research and Innovation, launched the activity entitled “Pitching” for pitching the merits and benefits of 15 learning space projects competing in the ‘Learning Space Contest 2023’. This event aims to align with achieving Super KPI (prioritized Key Performance Indicators) and does so by providing academic services for sharing expertise, knowledge and innovation in strengthening local communities. Importantly, this contest specifically supports and encourages new learning spaces for all and awards winners with trophies for their earned appreciation.
Constructing and setting up of “Learning Space 2023” is one the university’s key developmental goals that aims to create equitable learning environments for personnel, students, and the general public for access to knowledge resources and for individual and societal growth in income, improved well-being, stronger community participation, unity, and happiness.
The response from the university community was overwhelming with interest from 15 Learning Space projects from 9 interior institutions covering a total of 4 outside learning spaces and 15 in-house learning spaces.
Awards reflecting the success and earned appreciation of all participants were judged according to outstanding results and highlights and management of the learning space project.
Results of the award competition from 15 learning space categories including venue of operation and project manager with 4 types of prizes as follows:
1 Platinum level awards
1. Lai Ta Market: Venue at Lai Ta Market, Mae Tam Community, Mueang District, Phayao Province and managed by the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao (BCA)
3 Gold level awards
1. Development Center for Professional Engineering: In-house venue and managed by the School of Engineering, University of Phayao
2. Spa Garden: Venue at Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phayao Province and managed by the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao
3. Nation Law Clinic: In-house venue and managed by the School of Law, University of Phayao
6 Silver level awards
1. The Mentoring System of English Teacher: Venue at Banborbia School Ban Mang Subdistrict, Chiang Muan District, Phayao Province and managed by the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao

4. Food Innovation and Packing Learning Center: In-house venue and managed by the Laboratory Animal Research Center University of Phayao
5. Hill Tribe Hand Embroidery and Wax Hand Draw Process Community Enterprise: Venue at Rajanukroh School, Pha Chang Noi Subdistrict, Pong District, Phayao Province and managed by the School of Information and Communication Technology, University of Phayao
6. The Agricultural Learning Space for Lunch at Betty DuMen’s Border Patrol Police School: Venue at Betty Dumen’s Border Patrol Police School, Pha Chang Noi Subdistrict, Pong District, Phayao Province and managed by the School of Agricultural and Natural Resources, University of Phayao
