Department of Community Health: School Health Services for Preventing Pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Infections among Students

Monday, August 28, 2023, a team led by Miss. Natnapa Promma, Miss. Pornpana Somjit, Asst. Prof. Kritha Satong, Asst. Prof. Manuchet Manotham (Department of Community Health), Asst. Prof. Sarawut Saengkam (Department of Environmental Health), Miss. Kingkanok Raksanawet (Major in Applied Thai Traditional Medicine) and public health students Community Health Department, year 4 were invited as guest speakers with Mae Ka Subdistrict Municipality to conduct academic health services activities at a school. This event was organized in collaboration with the teaching and learning of the School Health and Disease Prevention subject for students and staff of the Baan Mae Ka School, Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phayao Province. The event took place from 1 to 4 pm. at the school's conference room. The purpose of the event was to enhance and strengthen community development by providing knowledge about preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. The activities included:

 

Activity 1: Understanding the situation of sexual relationships before the appropriate age.

Activity 2: Group activity reflecting the impact of teenage pregnancy.

Activity 3: Promoting knowledge about birth control and sexually transmitted infections.

Activity 4: Water exchange activity and demonstrating the proper use of condoms.
