BCA students won 1st and 2nd place prizes at the 2023 Regional Startup Thailand League competition (Northern Region)

School of Business and Communication Arts students participated in the 2023 Regional Startup Thailand League competition (Northern Region). The event allowed students with innovation and technology ideas to present at the competition to win prizes organized by the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization). Such competition is under the nation’s policy of improving the quality of education in innovation and technology called “Entrepreneurial University,” fostering students, lecturers, and university staff to be acquainted with entrepreneurial conditions (Chiangmai News, 2023). The students from the School of Business and Communication Arts won 1st place and 2nd place as follows:

 

The 1st place prize went to the Bee Plus team. The innovative product is the food product for breeding bees. The team members consist of the Digital Marketing program’s students: Mr. Veerapat Sinthuwong, Mr. Panupan Lumlert, and Ms. Chatchadaporn Muenkhamtan from the School of Business and Communication Arts, and Biotechnology program’s student, Ms. Arisara Maneeklad from the School of Agriculture.

 

The 1st runner-up prize went to the Confusion Matrix team. The innovative product is an application for scheduling nursing care. The team members consist of the Digital Marketing program’s students: Mr. Teerawat Serengkampang, Mr. Phuwadol Supapinyo, and Ms. Pimkwan Phothita from the School of Business and Communication Arts.

 

Both teams will be representatives of the region to compete at the national level.
