The School of Business and Communication Arts prepared the 2023 intakes with the new student preparation program so that students can adjust their basic knowledge before entering actual university life. The program aims to equip students with life skills that will lead to adapting themselves to studying at the university level. The program also aims to establish good relationships between lecturers and students and among the students. The program was held on 22 May 2023 at the University of Phayao. Dr. Patchpitta Sreesoompong, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tanyatip Kharuhayothin, Vice Dean for Corporation Relations and Global Engagement, gave welcoming remarks to the students.
The morning session for the students includes the preparation for the students to acquire international skills. Mr. Petrus Gerardus Johannes de Bruijni, Mr. Satjapong Pongteerachotikul, and Ms. Pavaret Yasen from Brighton Language Academy were invited as speakers for the session on the topic “Perspectives, opportunities, and inspiration to improve English of the students at the School of Business and Communication Arts”. This session aims to prepare the students to have the courage to express themselves by communicating in English. Sessions in the afternoon involve information on student scholarships and library usage. Ms. Wasana Chaiwong (Pee Tui) from the Student Quality Development and Students with Disabilities Division and Mr. Wichayanon Maneechat, Head of Service from the Library and Learning Center Learning Innovation Institute, were invited as the speakers for the event. The program has about 300 - 350 students participating.
