On November 2, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of University of Phayao as the representative of University of Phayao had signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Higher Education, Sciences, Research and Innovation along with TED Fellows through video conference system. The University of Phayao is one of 34 TED Fellows from all over the country, with the honor by Prof. Siriruek Songsivilai, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation presided over the ceremony. There are also have Asst. Prof. Dr. Santhiwat Patakpol, Director of the Institute of Technology Innovation and Transfer together with the journalists are witness.
The TED Fund supports and promotes the development of youth to become startup entrepreneurs and supports educational institutions to become an entrepreneurial university. It focuses on students from bachelor's degrees to Ph.Ds., Graduates who have graduated up to 5 years and new entrepreneurs who want to invest in research and development lead to the commercial use.
