Assoc. Prof. Panarairat Srichaiyarat, Dean of the School of Law, University of Phayao, funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f?r Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH), organized the online workshop on ‘The Expected Learning Outcomes’ for the 32 executive officers from the National Institute of Justice, Lao PDR from Vientiane Campus, Savannakhet Campus, Champasak Campus, and Luang Prabang Campus from 31 March – 1 April 2021. The trainers were Assoc. Prof. Dr.Panarairat Srichaiyarat (Dean of the School of Law), Ms. Ploykwan Lao-amata (Associate Dean for Teaching Innovation and Student Quality Enhancement) , Ms. Piya-orn Plianpadoong (Assistant Dean for Research and International Affairs), and Ms. Nipaporn Lapsatian (Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs).
Expected Learning Outcomes is considered as one of the crucial tools for the law program and course design and development to achieve the quality and conform to the needs of the stakeholder, especially the students and the future employers. Therefore, the executive officers of the academic institutions need to comprehend how the Expected Learning Outcomes work, be able to design the Expected Learning Outcomes of programs and courses, and recognize the importance of the Expected Learning Outcomes and the benefits that the students, institutions, and the society will obtain in the future.
The objectives of the online workshop on ‘The Expected Learning Outcomes’ are as follow:
1. To provide the knowledge and comprehension on the Expected Learning Outcomes and the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) to the participants.
2. To guide and assist the participants to design the Expected Learning Outcomes for the law program.
3. To share experiences on law program and course design and teaching with the participants from the National Institute of Justice, Lao PDR
4. To establish the international academic network in legal education and law program development
In the closing ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chontida Thephinlap, the Vice President for Academic and Quality Assurance had attended and gave the closing remark.
