Assistant Professor Dr. Thipwan Suppasat, lecturer in the Biology Program, School of Science, University of Phayao, and head of the research project, visited the area to deliver beehive boxes and stands to the farmer group of Ban Mae Ka Na Rai Diao Community, Village No. 14, Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province, on October 20, 2026, under the project "Expanding to Enhance Production Efficiency and Sustainable Farmer Income Development."

The project has received funding support from the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), with the goal of raising the income of 20,000 target farmer households by at least 20% through the transfer of appropriate and modern technology, over a two-year implementation period, currently in Year 1 of operations.

This activity marks the 3rd workshop under the project, titled "Bee Biology, Management, and Beekeeping Using Appropriate Honeycomb Beehive Equipment Sets," held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Ban Mae Ka Na Rai Diao, Village No. 14, Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. The workshop focused on transferring knowledge about the biology of Thai honeycomb bees, a native species that plays a vital role in the ecosystem and plant pollination, alongside demonstrations and hands-on practice using beehive equipment specifically designed to suit local conditions, enabling farmers to genuinely enhance their production efficiency.

The delivery of beehive boxes and stands on this occasion further completes the knowledge gained from the training, allowing farmers in the Mae Ka Na Rai Diao community to put the equipment to immediate practical use. This builds confidence and systematically strengthens beekeeping skills for Thai honeycomb bees within the community, promoting an environmentally friendly alternative occupation, generating stable supplementary income for farming households, while simultaneously helping to conserve biodiversity in the community area.

The implementation of this project reflects the commitment of the School of Science, University of Phayao, in applying scientific knowledge and technology to address challenges and improve the quality of life for farmers in Phayao Province and neighboring areas.
