On September 7, 2026, the University of Phayao (UP) hosted “UP Identity Festival #6: UP AI 2026” under the theme “Area-based University & Innovation for Student Development.” Assistant Professor Wuthichai Chairinkam, Ph.D.Vice President for Student Quality, officially opened the event, which brought together students and staff to share innovative approaches to student development and explore the skills needed for the future workplace.
A highlight was the UP Identity Innovation Competition, featuring projects in four areas: student identity development, arts and culture, student mental health, and area-based volunteer activities. The platform encouraged participants to exchange ideas and best practices, with outstanding projects offering potential models for future student development at UP.
The festival also connected students with career opportunities, technology, and innovation through the UP Job Fair, ICT Open House 2026, UP AI Hackathon 2026, and Work & Travel activities. Talks and discussions on reskilling, upskilling, AI, global skills, and career pathways helped students understand changing workforce demands.
The event concluded with awards recognizing outstanding student achievements, reinforcing UP’s commitment to developing future-ready graduates with innovation, practical skills, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
