On September 7, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Sitthisak Pinmongkhonkul, Dean of the School of Science, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Reungruthai Sirirak, Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, Dr. Patcharin Tangchaisuriya, Vice Dean for Student Development and Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwat Boonchaisri, plus staff and students from the School of Science, University of Phayao, joined the "UP Identity Festival#6" event under the concept "UP AI 2026: Area-based University & Innovation for Student Development" held at Phaya Ngam Mueang Auditorium, University of Phayao.
The School of Science entered student development innovation projects in 3 categories as follows student identity development, arts and culture preservation, and community-based volunteer service promotion. We scored awards in all 3 categories as follows:
Category: Volunteer Innovation for Area-Based Student Development
"Innovative Process for Producing Area-Based Science Communicator Students", this project helps students apply scientific knowledge to communicate and create learning experiences with local communities through hands-on, real-world learning in the field.
Category: Arts and Culture Preservation Innovation
"Innovative Process of Turning Phayao City into a Classroom, Transforming Cultural Learning into Experience for Science Student Development", this project connects Phayao's cultural heritage and identity with student development, creating real-world learning experiences and helping students appreciate the value of local communities and culture.

"Developing Entrepreneurial Innovation Students through the Science Student Entrepreneur Club", this project encourages students to build innovative thinking, creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills through out-of-classroom learning and club activities.
