On 15 August 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, held the FINAL COMPETITION | BCA AMBASSADOR 2026: “SHINE ON YOUR OWN” at UB001, the 99th Anniversary of Phra Upali Kunupamajarn Building, University of Phayao. The event provided students with a platform to discover and express their individuality while developing their communication skills, creativity, personality, and ability to work effectively with others. The event was presided over by Mr. Kamonphong Rattanasanguanwong, Associate Dean for Student Experience and Quality Development, who delivered the welcoming remarks and officially opened the event.
The competition marked the final stage of the selection process, with 19 finalists competing for 10 positions as BCA AMBASSADOR 2026. The ambassadors will serve as representatives who help reflect a positive image of the School of Business and Communication Arts. The competition focused on developing essential skills for representing the School, including communication, personality, leadership, teamwork, creativity, and an appropriate attitude.
The selection of BCA AMBASSADOR 2026 was conducted based on five key criteria: personality and demeanour, attitude, communication, creativity, and teamwork. These criteria were designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of the contestants’ potential and identify those best suited to serve as representatives of the School.
In addition to the competition, the event featured performances and activities by students and various clubs, providing opportunities for artistic and creative expression. These included a saxophone performance by UP Band, a performance by the School of Business and Communication Arts Cheerleading Team, the BCA Ambassador 2024–2026 Opening Show, a Cover Dance performance by FAHK-K!, and a live music performance by BCA Band, as well as activity booths and special privileges provided by sponsors.
The results of the BCA AMBASSADOR 2026 competition were as follows. The title of BCA AMBASSADOR 2026 was awarded to Ms. Chutikarn Onnuan, a student in the Tourism and Hotel Management program.
The First Runner-up was Ms. Amaraporn Buarapha, a student in the Digital Marketing program. The Second Runner-up was Mr. Kanchit Inrun, a student in the New Media Communication program. The Third Runner-up was Mr. Anon Onsi, a student in the New Media Communication program. The Fourth Runner-up was Ms. Punyavee Khumpect, a student in the Tourism and Hotel Management program.
The Fifth Runner-up awards were presented to Ms. Phatthiya Wongskul, a student in the Digital Marketing program; Ms. Chanthida Mawilert, a student in the Communication Management program; Ms. Raktakan Buanium, a student in the New Media Communication program; Ms. Chatchadarat Rungsuwan, a student in the New Media Communication program; and Mr. Hemmarat Kongchai, a student in the New Media Communication program.
Special awards were also presented. The Popular Vote Award went to Ms. Phatthiya Wongskul, a student in the Digital Marketing program. The Congeniality Award went to Mr. Kanchit Inrun, a student in the New Media Communication program. The Best Content Creator (Team) Award was presented to Group 2, comprising Mr. Kanchit Inrun, a student in the New Media Communication program; Ms. Punyavee Khumpect, a student in the Tourism and Hotel Management program; and Ms. Chanthida Mawilert, a student in the Communication Management program.
The BCA AMBASSADOR 2026 competition forms part of the School’s efforts to develop students’ potential through extracurricular learning experiences. It provides opportunities for students to strengthen their communication, creativity, personality, leadership, and teamwork skills, while encouraging them to discover and appropriately express their individual potential. The initiative contributes to preparing students to serve as representatives and promote a positive image of the School of Business and Communication Arts.
