On 18 August 2026, the Student Association of the School of Business and Communication Arts, in collaboration with Dreamer Tracks and the BCA Band, organized “BCA FESTIVAL: ALOHA IN THE RAIN” at the UB Courtyard. The event aimed to promote student participation, provide a platform for students to express their creativity and talents in music and the arts, foster positive relationships among students across different year levels, and create an environment conducive to learning and shared university experiences within the School.
The event provided students with opportunities to showcase their talents and participate in a wide range of activities. Performances were presented by students and various clubs, including BCA AMBASSADOR 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts Cheerleading Club, the LIMOC Cover Dance Club, Dreamer Tracks, and the BCA Band. These performances provided a platform for students to demonstrate their abilities, creativity, and potential through music and performing arts.
In addition to stage performances, the event provided opportunities for students to socialize, meet, engage in conversations, and exchange experiences with friends, senior students, and junior students. It also promoted teamwork and the development of relationships among students from different year levels. The event created an inclusive environment for participation and shared experiences, reflecting the cooperation and sense of unity among students of the School of Business and Communication Arts.
The event also featured a band competition, in which participating bands demonstrated their ability to create their own songs and melodies, with the aim of promoting musical skills, creativity, and teamwork. The competition was judged by Mr. Atsadawut Ploykhiao from the School of Architecture and Fine Arts, Mr. Ekachai Namno from Phayao Anuban School, and Mr. Techit Mueang Kham from the University of Phayao Demonstration School.
The band competition was evaluated based on six key criteria: 1) accuracy and precision of rhythm and melody; 2) originality in songwriting; 3) musicality and quality of lyrics; 4) clarity of singing and communication of the song’s meaning; 5) instrumental performance skills; and 6) communication and interaction with the audience.
The results of the band competition were as follows: First Prize: Chaporkit Band; First Runner-up: jammaidai; Second Runner-up: soi 14 Band; and Honorable Mention: ASTRA7.
The BCA FESTIVAL: ALOHA IN THE RAIN served as an activity that promoted student participation and provided opportunities for students to develop their skills in music, performing arts, creativity, and teamwork. It also strengthened relationships among students across different year levels and fostered a sense of belonging within the School, contributing to an educational environment that supports students’ potential development and provides diverse experiences alongside their academic studies.
