Executives and Head of the Office of School of Engineering University of Phayao, participated in the first cohort of the “Carbon Neutrality Management for Middle-Level Executives (UP Carbon Neutrality 2026)” training program. The program was designed to enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding, and readiness to drive the University of Phayao’s greenhouse gas reduction initiatives and advance its long-term commitment to achieving carbon neutrality in a sustainable manner. The training was held on 9 June 2026 at the Active Learning Classroom, Combined Education Building (CE), University of Phayao, and was organized by the Center for Environment and Sustainable Management, University of Phayao.
The program focused on providing comprehensive knowledge of Net Zero, Carbon Neutrality, and Carbon Credits, as well as approaches to setting organizational greenhouse gas reduction targets, developing strategic plans toward Net Zero emissions, and preparing for organizational carbon footprint assessment and certification. The training featured distinguished speakers from the School of Energy and Environment, Assistant Professor Dr. Nathiya Kreetachat and Dr. Surat Sedpho, who delivered lectures and shared expertise on carbon neutrality management, greenhouse gas reduction target setting, and strategies for guiding organizations toward Net Zero goals.
The University of Phayao places strong emphasis on environmental stewardship and sustainable development. The University remains committed to achieving carbon neutrality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with Thailand’s national strategy on environmentally friendly growth. To support this commitment, key policies, targets, and performance indicators have been incorporated into the University of Phayao Strategic Development Plan for Fiscal Years 2026–2030. These efforts are intended to drive the University toward becoming a carbon-neutral institution and to achieve its long-term sustainable development objectives by 2050.
