On Tuesday, May 6, 2026, Associate Professor Supakorn Pongbangpho, Ph.D.President, University of Phayao, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Young Public Health Leaders and Mentors Development Program for the Four Regions (Northern Region)” at the Information and Communication Technology Building, University of Phayao.
The program was organized through collaboration between the Community Public Health Council and the School of Public Health, University of Phayao, to strengthen the professional readiness of public health students and enhance practical skills for future community health practitioners.
Mr. Chamnan Meemoon, First Vice President of the Community Public Health Council, delivered a report on the program objectives, while Assistant Professor Dr. Somkid Juwa, Dean of the School of Public Health, introduced the academic programs and student development approaches. More than 120 students and public health personnel from various institutions participated in the event.
Held from May 5–8, 2026, the program featured lectures, workshops, team-building activities, AI and digital health learning sessions, and community-based fieldwork in Mae Ka Subdistrict, Phayao Province. A key highlight was the “Health Viral Challenge,” where participants created innovative online health communication content to promote public health awareness.
The initiative reflects the University of Phayao’s commitment to producing skilled public health professionals and strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and professional health networks to improve community well-being and sustainable healthcare development.
