Engineering Participates in Training on Enhancing Integrity and Transparency Advancing Readiness for UP ITA 2026 Assessment

The School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by Ms. Phimphaka Kaewsar, Head of the Office, together with section heads, participated as representatives in the “Workshop on Enhancing Integrity and Transparency in the Operations of the University of Phayao” The program was organized by the Planning Division, University of Phayao, and held on 29–30 April 2026 at the Active Learning Classroom, Combined Education Building (CE).

The primary objective of this initiative was to strengthen participants’ knowledge and systematic understanding of integrity and transparency in organizational operations, while also enhancing personnel capacity in public data disclosure. The program aligns with the evaluation criteria for Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) for the fiscal year 2026, aiming to minimize potential discrepancies and improve institutional readiness prior to the formal assessment.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Thitirath Cheowsuwan  Vice President for Policy and Planning. The event also featured a lecture delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarayot Rareongjai, Assistant to the President, covering key topics such as “Criteria for the Integrity and Transparency Assessment of Internal Units at the University of Phayao (UP ITA) for Fiscal Year 2026” as well as “Data Collection Processes for Internal Integrity and Transparency Assessment (IIT), External Integrity and Transparency Assessment (EIT), and Guidelines for Public Disclosure of Information (OIT)”

In addition, interactive workshop sessions were conducted to promote participatory learning. Participants engaged in the analysis of both compliant and non-compliant OIT data examples and undertook practical exercises in evaluating OIT indicators (Items o1–o26) through case studies. These activities facilitated interdepartmental knowledge exchange and reinforced practical competencies in assessment processes.

Participation in this program underscores the School of Engineering’s commitment to strengthening organizational governance in accordance with the principles of good governance, as well as advancing transparency systems. These efforts represent critical mechanisms for fostering stakeholder trust and driving the institution toward sustainable development within the context of contemporary public sector management.
