On April 7, 2026, the University of Phayao Hospital, School of Medicine, organized the 2026 Disaster and Mass Casualty Management Drill to strengthen staff readiness in responding to emergencies, including disasters and large-scale accidents. The exercise aimed to ensure accurate, rapid, safe, and efficient patient care.
The event was held at the University of Phayao Hospital, Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. Krittin Naravejsakul, M.D.Director, University of Phayao Hospital, presided over the opening ceremony. The program featured expert speakers, including Dr. Udomsak Tangchaisuriya, Mr. Sarawut Mun-ngan, and Ms. Nipaporn Promprasitt, who provided intensive training in both theoretical and practical sessions.
Participants engaged in realistic simulation exercises designed to replicate emergency situations. The drill received strong collaboration from partner organizations, including Luecha Phayao Foundation, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Unit of Mae Na Ruea Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and Champawai Emergency Rescue Unit.
This initiative reflects the hospital’s strong commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its healthcare personnel, ensuring comprehensive emergency preparedness, and improving the quality and safety of healthcare services for the community in a sustainable manner.
