On March 17, 2026, University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Supakorn Pongbangpho, Ph.D.President, University of Phayao, assigned Associate Professor Direk Teeraputon, Ph.D.Vice President for University Communications, along with the executive team, to implement the UP CSV (Creating Shared Value) project at Indree Asa Border Patrol Police Learning Center (Ban Huai Pum). The visit was warmly welcomed by Pol. Lance Corporal Amnat Srisombat, Head Teacher, and the school community.
The team provided educational supplies and discussed area-based development approaches. In addition, the School of Liberal Arts reported progress on its English language development program for primary students, focusing on phonics, online learning tools, storytelling, and teacher capacity building.
Efforts were also made to improve the school’s infrastructure through collaboration with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) Phayao, including inspection and maintenance planning for solar power systems and utility systems.
Organized by the Division of General Affairs, Office of Communications, the UP CSV project marks its 8th year while celebrating the University’s 16th anniversary. The initiative aims to enhance quality of life and expand access to education for underserved communities through integrated partnerships, in line with the royal initiative on child and youth development in remote areas of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
This project reflects the University of Phayao’s role as an Area-Based University, applying knowledge, research, and innovation to drive sustainable community development in education, energy, environment, and human capacity building.
