The University of Phayao hosted the 5th National Conference on Thai Traditional Medicine and Public Health Research on November 20-21, 2025. The conference's theme was "Future Fusion: Thai Research and Holistic Medicine for Tomorrow's Healthcare." The event brought together over 600 participants both in-person and online, and showcased more than 100 academic presentations covering topics such as Thai and Chinese traditional medicine, public health, international health, and health innovation.
Chaired by Dr. Wuthichai Chairinkam, Vice President for Student Quality, the conference emphasized the significance of integrating research, traditional medicine, and public health expertise in order to enhance a sustainable and modern healthcare system. Dr. Somkid Juwa, Dean of the School of Public Health, emphasized the School's dedication to promoting health innovation and fostering academic collaboration both nationally and internationally.
Organized in partnership with 11 national institutions and professional health organizations, the conference supported key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including health and well-being, quality education, innovation, and global partnerships. The event marked a significant step toward promoting Thai traditional knowledge and strengthening Thailand’s future health system.
