Dental Hospital University of Phayao Discusses with NHSO Region 1 Chiang Mai to Prepare for Registration as a National Health Security Service Unit

Dental Hospital University of Phayao Discusses with NHSO Region 1 Chiang Mai

Professor Associate Professor Dr. Patcharawan Srisilapanan, DDS.Acting Dean, School of Dentistry, together with the faculty’s executive team, met with Dr. Parichart Lunta, Director of the National Health Security Office (NHSO) Region 1 Chiang Mai, and Mr. Khajornsak Kasemkittanakul, Health Security Academic Officer, to discuss the process of registering the Dental Hospital University of Phayao as a service unit under Thailand’s National Health Security System (NHSO).

The purpose of the meeting was to establish a collaborative effort in developing an accessible, high-quality, and equitable dental service system for the public, with a particular focus on beneficiaries of the Universal Coverage Scheme (UCS), also known as the "Gold Card." This initiative aims to guarantee that individuals in Phayao Province and surrounding areas have access to standardized and fair oral healthcare services.

This discussion represents a significant step in preparing the Dental Hospital University of Phayao to become part of the national health security network, enhancing the quality and reach of dental services in the region. The collaboration also aligns with School of Dentistry’s mission to produce skilled dental professionals, provide community-centered dental care, and promote oral health for better quality of life.

The School of Dentistry at the University of Phayao is dedicated to promoting a sustainable oral healthcare system, in accordance with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. Our vision is centered on the belief that "Good oral health starts at home."
