“French for Professional Purposes” Workshop on First Aid and CPR
On Friday, August 22, 2025, the French Language Program, School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao organized a professional development project titled “French for Professional Purposes” at Room MD 3301, School of Public Health. The event was designed for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in French and the Bachelor of Arts in French and English programs, specifically those taking the courses 145461 French for Tour Guides and 145463/145363 French for Airline Personnel. The project was coordinated by Dr. Suwanna Dolparadorn.
This initiative marked the fourth session of the program and featured a hands-on workshop titled “Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)”. The aim was to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills in providing medical assistance in emergency situations, particularly scenarios involving tourists or airline passengers.
The session was honored by Asst. Prof. Orathai Kaetkhao, a lecturer from the Community Health Program, School of Public Health, University of Phayao. She served as the guest speaker, providing both theoretical instruction and live demonstrations using CPR manikins. The training also covered first aid techniques for choking emergencies, ensuring that students are prepared to respond effectively in real-world situations where health and safety are at stake.
