School of Liberal Arts Hosts School Development Program
for Japanese Language Lecturers
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Japanese Language Program under the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, held a school development workshop at M2 Hotel Waterside, Phayao Province. The event, led by Miss Phanphitchaya Phanyafu, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Arts in Japanese, focused on the theme: “Enhancing the Japanese Language Curriculum at the University of Phayao Using AI Tools.”
The primary objective of the workshop was to support the effective revision of the Japanese language curriculum by strengthening participants’ understanding of curriculum development processes and introducing practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in academic work.
The program was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Narin Nonthamand, Assistant to the President of the University of Phayao, who served as the keynote speaker. Dr. Narin led an engaging seminar and hands-on workshop on two key topics:
- Principles and Processes for Effective Curriculum Development in Japanese Language Education
- Integrating AI Tools, such as ChatGPT, to Enhance Curriculum Design and Implementation
Through this initiative, the School of Liberal Arts continues to promote academic innovation and professional development, ensuring that the school are well-equipped to meet evolving educational standards and leverage new technologies in teaching and curriculum design.
